I’ve just been out walking the dogs, and the most amazing sunset unfolded before my eyes. It’s been a clear but crisp day here in Sweden today (1st December). As the sun was setting on my drive back home I didn’t realise just what was about to happen. But about 20 minutes later, whilst I was out in the garden with the dogs, over a period of the next half hour, the sky was red, orange, blue, purple, and so vibrant.

I was so amazed, I decided to pop back in the house and fetch my camera…

Here’s the photo I snapped as the sun dipped down over the Skåna horizon.

Winter Sunset in Sweden

The photograph doesn’t really bring out the amazing reds that you could see with the human eye… but that’s because I am rubbish at photography and have my camera set on ‘auto’ for everything! Oops. Sorry dad!

But hopefully you get the idea… very special evening indeed to have caught both that amazing sunset, and just a few minutes earlier I had also seen my first wild boar in Sweden (see my previous blog post on this).
